About Privacy

In addition to the non-personally identifiable data collected by cookies, if you choose to contact us via our contact form or sign up to receive informational items you will be sharing additional information such as name, email and perhaps information about your business and or website.

In most cases, information is gathered and stored in the website database or via a third-party service.  All information gathered via contact form is stored in this website database and on my email server. Both can be deleted upon request.

Information and informational items are provided in exchange for adding your email address and possibly your name, business and or website information to our mailing list. Our mailing list is stored and executed via Mailchimp for the sole purpose of communicating information as well as occasional marketing of services and products. The mailing list will specifically detail what type of emails you may receive and possibly the frequency. You may unsubscribe from the said email list(s) at any time by using the unsubscribe link provided in every email. A copy of MailChimp’s Privacy Policy can be found here:  https:/mailchimp.com/legal/privacy/

Your information is never shared or sold to others for marketing purposes and is only shared with third-party services as necessary and explained above as well as being checked with an automated SPAM detection service.

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

When visitors leave comments the site collects the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection. If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue. Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Your Data Rights
If you have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
